This M.2 NVMe SSD hard drive is faster than all other hard drives. The DevOps Engineers can comfortably work on this laptop because of this high-quality hard drive.
Battery Timing: According to Lenovo, this laptop delivers 9 hours, and I think these 9 hours are enough for a DevOps Engineer. In these 9 hours, they can work a lot.
#2:Acer Nitro 5
Acer Nitro 5 is another great laptop with loads of features. I will mention every feature in brief detail, so be ready.
Display Screen: This Acer Nitro 5 has a 15.6-inch display screen with an LED-Backlit display and IPS panel. The LED-Backlit display improves your viewing experience because it shows an HD image of your laptop’s screen.
The IPS display panel is the best panel ever. This panel allows the DevOps engineers to work even in the sunshine comfortably. The IPS panel is the best when it comes to working outdoors. So it’s a good thing for engineers to work in peace because of this IPS panel.
Processor: After you have a laptop with a good display screen, now comes the performance parameter. If your laptop’s performance is terrible, you cannot work comfortably.
This laptop has a 9th generation processor of Intel Core i5-9300H. This processor’s speed is fantastic because it has 4 cores, 8 threads, and 8 MB cache memory. Cores and threads help to get the job done faster.
This processor’s maximum memory is 4.10 GHz, and its primary memory starts from 2.40 GHz. I think this 4.10 GHz memory is good for DevOps engineers. Because of this fast memory, they can complete many tasks without any problem.
Video Memory (GPU): You have a good processor, but that doesn’t end here. The GPU memory of this laptop is also good. This Acer Nitro 5 has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU of 4 GB. This GPU is liked and recommended by several people because of its high memory and fast speed.
This GPU’s maximum memory is 4 GB. There are several other things included. This GPU has 896 CUDA CORES, 1410 MHz Base Clock, 1590 MHz Boost Clock, and 128-bit memory width. These are vast numbers for DevOps engineers because they can run any application on this laptop because of this powerful GPU.
Completing heavy tasks on this laptop is not a problem when you have that powerful GPU in it. DevOps Engineers can efficiently run heavy applications on this GPU. I can say I’ve reviewed a laptop whose GPU is fantastic.
Storage Space: I think the storage space is low compared to other laptops. This Nitro 5 variant has a 256 GB M.2 NVMe SSD hard drive. If this 256 GB can fulfill the needs of a DevOps Engineer, it is good, but if it doesn’t, you can upgrade the hard drive.
In simple words, you get a 256 GB hard drive by default. If it is enough, go with it, or else you can upgrade it.
RAM: This laptop’s RAM is 8 GB, and the format is DDR4. The bus speed is 2666 MHz, and that’s a good RAM because it is in DDR4 format, and the bus speed is also good. You will not face any speed issues while working.
Battery Timing: Battery Timing is the most crucial aspect for several reasons. If your laptop’s battery timing is terrible, you cannot work. It is necessary to have a laptop with good timing. This Acer Nitro 5 will not disappoint you because it has a Lithium-Ion battery that delivers 8 hours backup.
What do you say? These 8 hours are enough for a DevOps engineer? If yes, then go with it.
Additional Things: Some other things included in this laptop are the RGB-Backlit keyboard, Acer True Harmony, and Acer Cool Boost Technology.
The RGB-backlit keyboard allows you to work comfortably, even in a dark environment. Acer Cool Boost Technology keeps your laptop’s temperature cool, and the Acer True Harmony improves your speaker’s quality.
#3:Acer Aspire VX
Acer Aspire VX is another great laptop with several features. I am mentioning the features step-by-step, so please keep reading.
Display Screen: This Acer Aspire VX has a 15.6-inch display screen with an IPS display panel. But there is another feature in this laptop. It has a widescreen with LED-backlit included.
Having a widescreen is another good feature because it improves your viewing experience, and when you view everything clearly, you’ll be able to work comfortably.
Processor: This Acer Aspire VX has an Intel Core i7-7700 HQ processor of 3.80 GHz. This is a 7th generation processor with 4 cores, 8 threads, and 6 MB Cache Memory.
Its processor is in i7 format, but I’ve mentioned this laptop on the 3rd spot because it’s a 7th generation technology. The laptops I mentioned in the upper section have i5 processors, but they are 10th generation machines. That is why you don’t have to worry. As a DevOps Engineer, you can complete your work comfortably because this is a good processor.
Video Memory (GPU): Its GPU is also powerful, so don’t worry about it because its GPU will never disappoint any DevOps Engineer. This Acer variant has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU of 4 GB.
This GPU cannot compete with the 1650 variant, but still, it delivers fast speed. The memory specs of this GPU are high, and a DevOps Engineer will enjoy working on such a laptop that has this GPU.
This GTX 1050 Ti has 768 CUDA Cores, a 1290 MHz Base Clock, and a 1392 MHz Boost Clock. These are massive numbers, and they will never disappoint any DevOps Engineer. You can work comfortably on your laptop with this GPU.
Whenever GPU memory is required, this 1050 Ti fulfills all your needs.
RAM: Everyone knows that RAM plays a vital role in speeding your laptop. If your RAM is high, you do multitasking without any problem.
So this Aspire variant has 16 GB DDR4 RAM with 2400 MHz bus speed. The bus speed is good, and I’ve seen many RAMS whose bus speed is only 1200 MHz, but you get a 2400 MHz bus speed with this RAM, and that says a lot.
Storage Space: This Acer Aspire VX has a 256 GB SSD hard drive. This laptop doesn’t come in an M.2 NVMe SSD hard drive. You get a 256 GB standard SSD whose read and write speed is lower than M.2 version.
The thing is, you’ve to look for storage space, and that’s 256 GB. There is another drive bay included in it. If you want to upgrade your hard drive, you can do it with ease.
Battery Timing: This Acer Aspire VX has a 3-cell lithium-ion battery of 4605 mAh. This battery delivers 6 hours of timing. If this 6 hours backup is good, you can work a lot as a DevOps Engineer.
#4:Lenovo Flex 5
Lenovo Flex 5 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop with a Ryzen processor. The laptops mentioned earlier had an Intel processor, but now this one has a Ryzen series processor.
Display Screen: This Lenovo Flex 5 has a Graphite Grey color with a 14-inch display screen. It is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop with a touch screen feature. The touch screen feature allows you to use your laptop while lying on a bed or relaxing on a sofa.
This laptop has 3 modes: stand, tent, and tablet. The stand mode is the normal position like other laptops have. In Tent mode, you can convert your laptop to 360 degrees, and in tablet mode, the position is almost identical.
These 3 modes allow you to work comfortably. You can perform your DevOps work in these 3 modes. Sometimes you are tired, and you don’t want to work. So you turn your laptop off, but the Tent mode of this laptop allows you to work while lying on the bed.
I’ve mentioned the display modes of this laptop, but I forgot to mention the display panel. This laptop has an IPS display panel with an ultra-slim bezel. The bezel on the left and right sides is ultra-slim. That feature allows you to view your laptop’s screen comfortably.
In the end, I would say that this Flex 5 has an astonishing display. I’ve also mentioned other laptops, but no one has that type of display.
Processor: After having an astonishing display and attractive color, now comes the most important thing, and that is its processor. Without a good processor, you cannot complete your DevOps engineering tasks. It is necessary to have a good processor with enough cores, threads, and processing memory.
This Lenovo Flex 5 has an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor, and this Ryzen series is the best series ever. No one has competed with the Intel series, but this Ryzen has almost defeated the Intel series in many factors. You get this powerful processor with your Flex 5 laptop.
The Max Boost Clock of this Ryzen 5 processor reaches 4.00 GHz. The primary memory of this processor starts at 2.30 GHz and ends at 4.00 GHz. Do you think this 4.00 GHz memory is enough for DevOps Engineering? If yes, let me know in the comments section.
After high processor memory, now comes the turn of cores and threads. This Ryzen processor has 6 cores and 6 threads, whereas Intel delivers double threads. If an Intel processor has 4 cores, the threads are double, but this is not in this Ryzen 5 series. But still, these 6 cores and 6 threads are enough to fulfill your needs.
Storage Space: This Flex 5 has a super-fast hard drive of M.2 NVMe format. I’ve mentioned NVMe a lot, but I haven’t mentioned the full feature, so let me explain it. The standard SSD hard drive’s maximum read speed is 560 MB/s, and the write speed is 530 MB/s.
But this NVMe SSD’s read speed is 2200 MB/s, and the write speed is 2000 MB/s. So that’s a huge difference, and you get this NVMe SSD hard drive of 256 GB with this Lenovo Flex 5 laptop.
You can perform various engineering tasks of DevOps on this laptop faster. All that is possible because of this powerful NVMe SSD hard drive. This hard drive looks like RAM, but its speed is faster than a standard SSD hard.
RAM: Well, this laptop has huge RAM, and the bus speed of that RAM is also high. This Flex 5 variant has 16 GB RAM of DDR4 format, and the bus speed is 3200 MHz. I’ve mentioned several other laptops in the upper portion, but none of them has RAM with this bus speed.
Battery Timing: The battery timing is also good. You get 10 hours of timing on this Lenovo Flex 5 laptop, and I think these 10 hours are enough for completing your DevOps Engineering tasks. Another good thing about its battery is its power adapter.
Lenovo gives a 65W power adapter with this laptop. That power adapter charges your laptop’s battery fast. In just 1 hour, your laptop’s battery is charged 80%. After charging your laptop for 1 hour, you can get back to work with ease.
#5:Acer Aspire 5 (A515-56-50RS)
Acer Aspire 5 is an excellent laptop with extensive USB connectivity and a Fingerprint Reader that improves security.
Display Screen: This Acer Aspire 5 has a 15.6-inch display screen with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and LED-backlit. The Intel Iris Xe graphics improve image quality, and you can see each point of the picture. Even if there is a dot somewhere in the picture, you’ll be able to see it because of this Iris graphics feature.
The display panel is in IPS format, and I prefer to review the laptops with an IPS display panel because IPS is the best panel ever. I’ve seen many engineers who have to work outside the room, and no doubt there is sunlight outside the room. This IPS panel doesn’t let you feel the sunlight even if you are using your laptop in the sunlight. So that is the reason I prefer laptops with an IPS display panel.
The hinges of this laptop are stronger than others. You can rotate the laptop’s screen wherever you want. The left and right side bezels are slim. We cannot say its bezel is ultra-slim, but still, it is slimmer than other laptops.
Processor: This machine has the latest processor. I’ve reviewed 4 laptops in the upper portion, but no one has that processor with the newest technology. This Acer Aspire 5 has an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor of 11th generation.
This processor is super fast because it’s an 11th generation technology. The cores and threads of this processor are the same, but its speed is faster than others. This laptop’s processor has 4 cores, 8 threads, and 8 MB cache memory.
The Max Turbo Frequency of the maximum memory of this processor reaches 4.20 GHz. This 4.20 GHz is a good number because you have an i5 processor. You don’t have an i7 or i9 processor, but you still get this 4.20 GHz memory, which is a good sign.
All the DevOps Engineers can comfortably complete their projects because this processor delivers an outstanding speed.
Storage Space: The storage space of this laptop is lower, but the transferring speed is faster. Here are the two things I mentioned. I said the storage space is lower, which means the storage capacity is small. You get a 256 GB NVMe SSD hard drive with this laptop, and I don’t think this 256 GB can fulfill the needs of a DevOps Engineer.
The second thing I mentioned is the fast transferring speed. If you are not familiar with the NVMe SSD hard disk, let me clear you. The read speed of the NVMe SSD hard drive is 2200 MB/s, and the write speed is 2000 MB/s, whereas the read and write speed of a standard hard drive is between 450-550 MB/s. So there is a mega difference between a standard SSD and NVMe SSD.
But don’t worry because you get an NVMe SSD hard with this laptop, and that’s a good sign for DevOps engineers.
RAM: This Aspire 5 has 8 GB RAM of DDR4 format, and DDR4 format is compatible with 6th generation machines. That’s a good RAM, I can say. This RAM can quickly fulfill the needs of DevOps Engineers.
Battery Timing: No doubt every person is looking for a laptop that has good battery backup. Don’t worry because this laptop gives almost 8 to 8.5 hours of battery timing.
What do you say? As a DevOps engineer? This backup is good or no, don’t forget to mention that in my website’s comments section.
Additional Features: Some additional features include Acer Fingerprint Reader, Backlit Keyboard, and WiFi 6. This Fingerprint Reader is the best feature because it keeps your data secure. No one can access your laptop without your permission.
#6:ASUS Zenbook 13
This ASUS Zenbook 13 is the last laptop on our list, and I think I’ve mentioned some good laptops. Probably these laptops will help the DevOps Engineers to complete their work comfortably.
Display Screen: This ASUS Zenbook 13 has a 13.3-inch display screen and a Full HD 4-way NanoEdge Bezel display. The bezel of this laptop is ultra-slim, which means you can comfortably view your laptop’s screen from every point.
Another good thing about this laptop is its Ergo Lift hinge. These Ergo Lift hinges are strong. You can rotate your laptop wherever you want. Your hinges are not damaged no matter how many times you rotate your laptop’s screen.
So having a laptop with Ergo Lift Hinge and a 1080p display is a perfect thing. You can rotate the screen wherever you want, and there are 0 chances of hinges being damaged.
Processor: This laptop has a 10th generation processor, and I’ve mentioned every laptop with the latest processors. The processors that are in older technology cannot deliver fast speed.
So this Zenbook 13 comes in an Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor. This processor delivers fast speed because it has 4 cores, 8 threads, and 6 MB cache memory.
The Cache Memory of this processor is lower than others, but still, it executes the repeated instructions fast. You don’t have to worry about it. The base clock of this processor is 1.00 GHz, but don’t worry after seeing this 1.00 GHz number. Its Turbo Frequency reaches 3.60 GHz, and this 3.60 GHz number is good for DevOps Engineers.
Storage Space: This Zenbook 13 has a 256 GB M.2 NVMe SSD hard drive, and I’ve mentioned the features of the NVMe hard drive several times. So I don’t think I’ve to explain it more.
RAM: This laptop’s RAM is 8 GB, but the format is different. The laptops I mentioned earlier were in DDR4 format, but now this RAM’s format changes. This 8 GB RAM is in LPDDR4X format. The format is changed, but don’t worry because its speed is good. This RAM is not in DDR4 format. That doesn’t mean its speed is slow. It still delivers excellent speed and faster execution.
Battery Timing: I’ve mentioned this laptop on the last spot, but that doesn’t mean its battery timing is low. You get 22 hours of backup. I repeat 22 hours of backup. So these 22 hours are way more than enough for a DevOps engineer.
Additional Features: There are several other features, but I am here to mention only one feature. This Zenbook 13 has a Thunderbolt 3 port of C-type. This Thunderbolt 3 port allows you to perform several actions. You can even connect an external GPU with the help of this Thunderbolt 3 port. So that was the only feature I wanted to mention.
Wrapping It Up
So these were the 6 best laptops for DevOps Engineers, and I’ve mentioned every single detail. I haven’t missed a single thing about these laptops.
